மெகா சீரியல்களில் கள்ளகாதலும், ரௌடித்தனமும்

ஒரு காலத்தில் தமிழர்களின் பொழுதுப்போக்கு திரைப்படங்கள் சார்ந்தவையாகத் தான் இருந்தது. ஆனால் தொலைக்காட்சிகளின் வருகைக்குப் பின் மக்களின் அன்றாடப் பொழுதுப் போக்கு தொலைக்காட்சிகள் சார்ந்தவையாக மாற்றம் பெற்றன. இவற்றில் பெரும் பங்குபற்றுபவை மெகாசீரியல்கள் எனப்படும் நெடுந்தொடர். ஆரம்பக் காலத்தில் நெடுந்தொடர்களின் கதைக்கருக்கள் மக்களை கவர்பவையாக இருந்தன, பல நெடுந்தொடர்கள் டிடி, சன்டிவிகளில் ஒளிப்பரப்பானவை சினிமாத் தனம் சார்ந்தவையாக இருந்தன. அவற்றின் நோக்கம் மக்களை சினிமாவில் இருந்து தன்வசம் திருப்பவையாகவே இருந்தன. அதனால் அவற்றின் தரம் உயரந்தவையாக இருந்தன, கையளவு மனசு, மர்மதேசம், கங்கா யமுனா சரஸ்வதி என பல தொடர்கள் மக்களின் மனதில் நீங்கா இடம்பெற்றவைகள். பல மொழிமாற்று தொடர்களான அந்நியன், சீ ஹாவ்க், சாந்தி, ராஜா ராஞ்சோ, சக்திமான் எனப் பல தொடர்கள் மக்களால மறக்க முடியாதவைகள் ஆகும். ஆனால் ஒரு காலக்கட்டத்தில் மக்கள் சினிமாவை மறந்து தொலைக்காட்சிகளே கதி என மாற்றம் கண்டனர். இதன் பின்னரான தொடர்களின் வளர்ச்சி என்பதை விடவும் வீழ்ச்சிக் காலம் எனலாம். இதேக் காலக்கட்டத்தில் அதாவது 2001-க்குப் பின் திரைப்படங்களில் வளர்ச்சி அபரிவிதமாகவும், புதுமையாகவும் வெளிவரத் தொடங்கியது. இதேக் காலக்கட்டத்தில் தொலைக்காட்சித் தொடர்கள் தனது கதைத் தரத்தை இழக்கத் தொடங்கியது. இருப்பினும் தொடர்கள் மீதான மக்களின் ஆர்வம் பெரிதும் குறைவுப் படவில்லை, இதனால் தொடர்களை தயாரிப்பவர்கள், இயக்குபவர்கள் மக்களைக் கவர்வதற்கு மட்டமான வழிமுறைகளைக் கைக் கொண்டனர்.

தற்சமயம் ஒளிப்பரப்பாகும் பெரும்பாலான தொடர்களின் கதைக்கரு கள்ளக்காதல், கொலை, கொள்ளை, ரௌடித்தனம், பழிவாங்கல் இவற்றின் பின்புலத்திலேயே கதைகள் நகர்கின்றன. சினிமாவை விடவும் அன்றாடம் மக்களின் மனதில் ஒன்றிப்போவது சீரியல்கள் தான். ஆனால் இவற்றைத் தயாரிப்பவர்கள் சமூக அக்கறையின்றி தொடர்களை எடுத்து வருவது நிச்சயம் சமூகத்தில் பாரிய பின் விளைவுகளை ஏற்படுத்தும் சூழல் இருக்கின்றன. தற்சமயம் சண்டிவியில் ஒளிப்பரப்பாகும் பெரும்பாலான தொடர்களில் கள்ளகாதல், கொலை இரண்டுமே மையம் கொண்டு இருக்கின்றது.

கள்ளக்காதலைப் பிரதானப்படுத்தும் சண்டிவியின் தொடர்களாக இருப்பவை கஸ்தூரி, செல்லமே, தென்றல், இதயம், முந்தானை முடிச்சு, தங்கம், மாதவி, அத்திப் பூக்கள் என அனைத்துமே ஒரே ரகமாகும். அதே போல அனைத்து பிற தொடர்களான திருமதி செல்வம், நாதஸ்வரம், மாதவி போன்ற தொடர்களும் எப்படிக் கொலைச் செய்வது, ரௌடித்தனம் செய்வது என்பதை முன்னிறுத்தி செல்கின்றன. இதே போக்கான தொடர்கள் தான் ஸ்டார் விஜயில் ஒளிப்பரப்பாகும் மஹாராணி, என் பெயர் மீனாட்சி ஆகிய தொடர்களின் கருவும் இதே நிலை தான்  என்றாலும் சன் டிவியைப் பார்க்கிலும் கொஞ்சம் பரவா இல்லை எனத் தோன்றுகிறது. இன்ன பிற தொலைக்காட்சிகளின் ஒளிப்பரப்பாகும் தொடர்களும் இதேப் போக்கைத் தான் கடைப்பிடிக்கின்றன.

குறிப்பாக இரவு வேளையில் ஒளிப்பரப்பாகும் தென்றல் தொடரில் மாமா வேளை செய்யும் மாமியார் பாத்திரமும், அடுத்தவள் புருஷனை வளைக்க நாக்கைத் தொங்கப் போட்டு அலையும் பெண்ணின் பாத்திரமும் வெறுப்பை ஏற்றுகின்றன. இந்த தொடர்களை எடுப்பவர்களுக்கு வேறு கதையே கிடைக்கவில்லையா ? இல்லை இதை தயாரிப்பவர்களும், இயக்குபவர்களின் வீடுகளில் நடப்பதைத் தான் கதையாக்கி தருகிறார்களோ என்ற ஐயம் எழுகிறது. வெளிப்படையாக கேட்கிறேன் இந்த தொடர்களை எல்லாம் குடும்பத்தோடு அமர்ந்து எப்படிப் பார்ப்பது சொல்லுங்கள் ? விஜய் படங்களைக் காறித் துப்புகிறோம், வரைட்டி கேட்கிறோம், ஆனால் தொடர்களில் ஒரு மார்க்கமாக மட்டமான கதைகளை கொட்டித் திணிக்கின்றன இதை நாம் பேசுவதும் இல்லை, கண்டிப்பதும் இல்லை. இதனால் குழந்தைகள், இளையவர்களின் மனதில் வன்மத்தை விதைக்கின்றோம். இதன் பின் விளைவுகள் சமூகத்தில் எப்படி எதிரொலிக்கும் என்று சிந்தித்துப் பாருங்கள் ? ஏற்கனவே கள்ளக் காதல் கொலை, ஆள் கடத்தல், கற்பழிப்பு என தமிழகம் படாத பாடு படுகிறது. இந்த நெடுந்தொடர்கள் மேலும் எரியும் நெருப்பில் எண்ணெய்யை ஊற்றுவதாக அமைகிறது. 

சண்டிவியில் பக்தி நாடகங்கள் என்ற பெயரில் நாகம்மா போன்ற நாடங்கள் மேலும் வெறுப்பை ஏற்றுகின்றன. ஆனால் விஜய் டிவியில் ஒளிப்பரப்பாகும் மகான் தொடர் நன்மதிப்பைத் தரும் ஒரு தொடராக கருத முடிகிறது.

இவற்றைக் கண்டிக்கவும், மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்தவும் வலைப்பதிவர்களாகிய நாம் எதாவது செய்வது அவசியமாகின்றது? 

Disadvantages of the Internet & TV

In spite of all the ways television and the Internet have enriched the lives of both young and old, living with these two sources of entertainment and information has its disadvantages. Along with providing perpetual distraction, television and the Internet have several notable drawbacks.
Inaccurate Information

Those who use the Internet for research should be aware of the abundance of inaccurate information on the Web. There is no filter for fiction online, and a website can, in theory, publish anything, true or false, about a subject. Even a popular reference site like Wikipedia is fallible. Created through multiple user contributions, Wikipedia can reflect an individual user's biases or inaccurate information. Another reason the Web can be unreliable is that the quick proliferation of information on the Internet leads to the spread of rumors. Websites have incorrectly reported the demise of companies, the death of actors, and the dissolution of celebrity marriages, the "news" of which spreads like wildfire on social networks and sometimes even respected news sites.
Safety and Reputation

In the last decade, Internet use has proven to be potentially dangerous for children. Internet predators have used chat rooms, classified ads, and social networks to find and take advantage of younger Web users or even harm them. Young people have used social networks like MySpace and Facebook to post inappropriate photos and information about themselves. These contributions can leak to future employers, limiting opportunities, or damage the user's reputation.
Addiction

Forms of Internet and television addiction have been diagnosed in users of all ages. On the Internet, users can become addicted to gaming sites, social sites like Facebook and MySpace, or simply the vast amount of information available to them. According to a Nielsen study, the average television viewer watches 4 and a half hours a day. Viewers can become addicted to the visual stimulation television offers, leading to less social interaction and the inability to form relationships. When a student is addicted to both the Internet and the television, it may impact his development socially, mentally, and physically.
Child Development

According to a 2001 report by the Alabama Cooperative Extension system, a child who watches too much television may experience attention problems, difficulties with language and reading comprehension, and growth problems. Dr. Ellen Abell, a child development and family specialist, believes that long periods of television use may lead to a lack of development in the prefrontal cortex, an area of the brain necessary for planning, self-control, moral judgment, organizing, and attention. To counter these problems, parents can monitor the family's Internet and television use to ensure children receive a balance of the real and digital worlds, especially during important developmental years.

Disadvantages of Mega Serial in TV

Mega serials are a part of life for many people and to tell the truth they waste their time by watching mega serials and they waste their energy (i.e.) they think it is a real story and they cannot control their emotions and they become addicted. Now-a-days, mega serials are playing a major role. There are many kinds of serials, here are some kinds:

1. Commercial Serials.
2. Emotional Serials, etc...

Mega serials are platform in which many of them become famous and they are well known to people. A good story makes a successful mega serial. Everybody cannot direct a mega serial. There are some terms and conditions for mega serials.

Disadvantages of Mega Serials :

Many people waste their time in watching mega serials and they do not even mind their family members. Once they sit in front of the TV watching mega serials, they will forget everything including cooking. Some people become addicted and they will not go anywhere out and wait to watch the mega serial. Small kids also started this is a bad sigh for our future generation.

So friends spend time with your lovable one... not with TV Mega serials...

‘Mann Ki Baat’ (eu dh ckr), the new and already popular new series on Mental
Health awareness on Doordarshan, now launches episodes on Psychosocial issues of
Children and Adolescents. These episodes address an increasing number of
challenges faced by children, parents and teachers today.
The first three episodes of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ that have received an excellent response,
dealt with the Mind, the importance of mental health, as well as tips on how to
handle Stress and its manifestations on an individual and society.
The forthcoming episodes of the series deal with Psychosocial issues of Children
and Adolescents. Recent figures from the Indian Council for Medical Research
(ICMR) show that nearly 13% or 50 million Indian children below the age of 15 years
require mental health care in the country. If one looks at day-to-day stress related
behavioral or psychological problems in children, the figures would be much higher.
This coupled with the fact that mental health professionals are mainly concentrated
in large Indian cities, empowering the parents, teachers and the children themselves
becomes a priority.
An increasing number of children today are suffering from stress within the confines
of their home that is creating mental as well as physical problems for them. At
school, children face too much expectation from their parents as well as their school
system that is wrecking havoc on their mental health. There is increased level of
stress leading to aggression and disruptive behavior in young children.
Adolescence is a period of rapid physical and psychological transition which make
adolescents particularly vulnerable to emotional conflicts and behavioral disorders.
The episodes on adolescents deal with stress that adolescents face within their family
environment and offers useful tips to parents to communicate effectively with their
children. Adolescents also face a lot of stress from their peers to experiment with
alcohol, drugs, sex etc. The series talks about the importance of life skills to
empower adolescents to deal with the challenging situations of their day to day life.
An entire episode is dedicated to the particularly difficult career choices that are
creating a lot of stress in adolescents today.
Dr. Manju Mehta, Professor of Clinical Psychology at AIIMS and a well known face in
the media along with Dr. Deepak Gupta, prominent Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
will be the experts on the episodes on childrens’ issues. Noted author and columnist
on adolescents’ issues, Mrs. Sumati Ghosh, and Life Skills expert Mrs. Asheema
Singh will be the guests on the episodes dealing with psychosocial problems of
adolescents. Celebrated career counselor Pervin Malhotra will also appear on the
show as an expert in an effort to reach out and make adolescents’ career choices a
little simpler.
These episodes will be aired every Wednesday and Friday from the 30th of July in
‘Mann Ki Baat’- a series on Mental Health at 8:30 a.m. on Doordarshan’s
National channel.
