They give receipt against each collection and they are supposed to remit this amount at cable TV office the very next day. ‘Mann Ki Baat’ (eu dh ckr), the new and already popular new series on Mental
Health awareness on Doordarshan, now launches episodes on Psychosocial issues of
Children and Adolescents. These episodes address an increasing number of
challenges faced by children, parents and teachers today.
The first three episodes of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ that have received an excellent response,
dealt with the Mind, the importance of mental health, as well as tips on how to
handle Stress and its manifestations on an individual and society.
The forthcoming episodes of the series deal with Psychosocial issues of Children
and Adolescents. Recent figures from the Indian Council for Medical Research
(ICMR) show that nearly 13% or 50 million Indian children below the age of 15 years
require mental health care in the country. If one looks at day-to-day stress related
behavioral or psychological problems in children, the figures would be much higher.
This coupled with the fact that mental health professionals are mainly concentrated
in large Indian cities, empowering the parents, teachers and the children themselves
becomes a priority.
An increasing number of children today are suffering from stress within the confines
of their home that is creating mental as well as physical problems for them. At
school, children face too much expectation from their parents as well as their school
system that is wrecking havoc on their mental health. There is increased level of
stress leading to aggression and disruptive behavior in young children.
Adolescence is a period of rapid physical and psychological transition which make
adolescents particularly vulnerable to emotional conflicts and behavioral disorders.
The episodes on adolescents deal with stress that adolescents face within their family
environment and offers useful tips to parents to communicate effectively with their
children. Adolescents also face a lot of stress from their peers to experiment with
alcohol, drugs, sex etc. The series talks about the importance of life skills to
empower adolescents to deal with the challenging situations of their day to day life.
An entire episode is dedicated to the particularly difficult career choices that are
creating a lot of stress in adolescents today.
Dr. Manju Mehta, Professor of Clinical Psychology at AIIMS and a well known face in
the media along with Dr. Deepak Gupta, prominent Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
will be the experts on the episodes on childrens’ issues. Noted author and columnist
on adolescents’ issues, Mrs. Sumati Ghosh, and Life Skills expert Mrs. Asheema
Singh will be the guests on the episodes dealing with psychosocial problems of
adolescents. Celebrated career counselor Pervin Malhotra will also appear on the
show as an expert in an effort to reach out and make adolescents’ career choices a
little simpler.
These episodes will be aired every Wednesday and Friday from the 30th of July in
‘Mann Ki Baat’- a series on Mental Health at 8:30 a.m. on Doordarshan’s
National channel.

பெங்களூரில் தொழில் அதிபருடன் விபச்சாரத்தில் ஈடுபட்டதாக பிரபல நடிகை யமுனா கைது செய்யப்பட்டார்.

பிரபல கன்னட நடிகரும், இயக்குநருமான ரவிச்சந்திரன் நடித்த சின்னா என்ற படத்தில் அவருக்கு ஜோடியாக நடித்தவர் யமுனா. இதன்பின்னர் மாவனிகே தக்க அளியா, ஹெண்டத்தியரே உஷார் படங்களில் நடிகர் சசிகுமாருக்கு ஜோடியாக இவர் நடித்து இருந்தார். மோடத மரேயல்லி என்ற படத்தில் நடித்தபோது யமுனா என்ற தனது பெயரை சவும்யா என்று மாற்றிக் கொண்டார். நடிகர் சிவராஜ்குமாருடனும் யமுனா நடித்துள்ளார். இதுதவிர யமுனா குணச்சித்திர வேடத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். தமிழில் துணை நடிகையாகவும், தெலுங்கில் எர்றமந்தாரம், மவுன போராட்டம் , மாமகாடு உள்பட பல படங்களிலும், சீரியல்களிலும் நடித்து வருகிறார்.

இந்நிலையில், பெங்களூரில் உள்ள ஐடிசி நட்சத்திர ஓட்டலில் விபசாரம் நடைபெறுவதாக குற்றப்பிரிவு போலீசாருக்கு கிடைத்தது. அந்த தகவலின் அடிப்படையில் போலீசார் நடத்திய அதிரடி சோதனையில் நடிகை யமுனா, தகவல் தொழில் நுட்ப நிறுவனம் நடத்தி வரும் வேணுகோபால் என்பவருடன் விபசாரத்தில் ஈடுபட்டதாக பிடிபட்டார். இதையடுத்து, நடிகை யமுனா, வேணுகோபால், இதற்கு உடந்தையாக இருந்த புரோக்கர் சுரக்ஷித் ஆகிய 3 பேரும் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர்.

அதன்பின்னர் அவர்களை பெங்களூரு கோர்ட்டில் ஆஜர்படுத்தப்பட்டனர். வழக்கை விசாரித்த நீதிபதி, யமுனாவையும், வேணுகோபாலையும் 14 நாட்கள் நீதிமன்ற காவலில் வைக்கும்படி நீதிபதி வெங்கடேஷ் குலகி உத்தரவிட்டார். மேலும் விபசார வழக்கு தொடர்பாக புரோக்கர் சுரக்ஷித்திடம் விசாரணை நடத்த வேண்டும் என்று போலீசார் கேட்டு கொண்டதன் பெயரிலும், அவரை மட்டும் போலீஸ் காவலில் எடுத்து விசாரிக்கவும் நீதிபதி அனுமதி வழங்கியுள்ளார்.

சின்னத்திரை தொகுப்பாளினி

வாய்கிழிய பேசுவதிலும் சிரிப்பதிலும் வல்லவர் அந்த மூன்றெழுத்து தொகுப்பாளினி. சிலர் பேசுவதைப் பார்க்கப் பிடிக்கும். இல்லேன்னா கேட்கப் பிடிக்கும். ஆனா இவர் பேசினா டிவி. பெட்டிய தூக்கிப் போட்டு உடைக்கத்தான் தோணும். ஆனாலும் இவர் அந்த புரோக்ராமில் தாக்குப்பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார். இதற்கு பின்னணியில் கூட ஆயிரெத்தெட்டு காரணங்கள் பூதாகமாகக் உலா வந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றன. சமீபத்தில் இவர் தனது ஆண் நண்பர்களுடன் இணைந்து எடுத்துக் கொண்ட புகைப்படங்கள் பேஸ்புக்கில் வலம் வந்து கிளுகிளுப்பை உருவாக்கியது. அந்த புகைப்படங்களின் மூலம் ஆண் நண்பர்களுடன் தொகுப்பளினி அடித்த லூட்டி வெட்ட வெளிச்சமாகி இருந்தது. விசாரித்துப் பார்த்ததில், அந்த ஆண் நண்பர்களுடன் தான் அம்மணி தனியாக வீடு எடுத்து தங்கியிருக்கிறாராம். இவருடன் மேலும் இரண்டு பெண்களும் தங்கியிருக்கிறார்களாம். சனி ஞாயிறு கிழமைகளில் இவர்கள் பார்ட்டி கொண்டாட ஆரம்பித்து குடியும் குடித்தனமுமாக இருப்பார்களாம். தொகுப்பாளினிக்கும் அவர் தோழிகளுக்கும் அவருடன் தங்கியிருக்கியிருக்கும் ஆண் நண்பர்கள் தான் ஸ்பான்சர் செய்கிறார்களாம். அவர்கள் சம்பளத்தில் பாதியை இவருக்கு செலவு செய்ய, பதிலுக்கு இவர் அவர்களுக்கு ‘வெயிட்டான்’ பார்ட்டி கொடுப்பாராம். அவுட்டிங், டேட்டிங் என ஜாலியாக என்ஜாய் பண்ணும் இந்த தொகுப்பாளினியின் குரலில் பாதி ஆண்குரல் போன்று இருப்பதன் காரணம் என்னவோ?



சின்னத்திரை என்றதும் எல்லோருக்கும் நினைவுக்கு வருவது அதன் சீரியல்கள், டாக் ஷோக்கள், பேட்டிகள் மட்டும் தான். ஆனால் அதில் வரும் விளம்பரங்களுக்காக ஒரு தனி உலகமே இயங்கிக் கொண்டிருப்பது பலருக்கும் தெரியாது. அதிலே முன்னணி நடிகைகளை வைத்து புடவைகளுக்கும் நகைகளுக்கும் எடுக்கப்படும் விளம்பரங்களுக்காக லட்சக் கணக்கில் செலவு செய்யப்படுகிறது.
குறிப்பாக சரவணமான ஒரு நிறுவனம் தங்கள் கடை பல கோடிகளை விளம்பரத்திற்காக செலவிடுகிறது. அதில் விளம்பர படம் எடுக்கும் முன்னணி ஏஜென்ஸிகள் இவர்களை அணுகும் போது இவர்கள் போடும் கண்டிஷனே அதில் நடிப்பவர்கள் முன்னணி நடிகையாக இருக்க வேண்டும், கூடவே மற்ற விஷயத்திற்கும் ஓகே சொல்ல வேண்டும் என்பதுதான். விளம்பரத்திற்கு ஒரு தொகை மற்றவைக்கு ஒரு தொகை என கணக்கு மிகச் சரியாக செட்டில் செய்யப்படும்.
அதன்படி எந்த ஊரில் சூட்டிங்கில் இருந்தாலும் சினேகமான அந்த நடிகை ப்ளைட் பிடித்து சென்னைக்கு ஓடிவந்து விடுவாராம். ஓ.எம்.ஆர். ரோட்டில் மிகவும் ஒதுக்குப்புறமாக உள்ள அந்த சின்ன முதலாளியின் பண்ணை வீட்டில்தான் ஞாயிறு காலை இவர்களின் “கூட்டுறவு” நடக்குமாம். கமுக்கமாக பர்தாவோடு வந்திறங்கும் நடிகை மறுநாள் அதிகாலையில் போவாராம். அங்கு வேலை செய்யும் பண்ணை ஆட்களுக்கு வருவது யார் என்று தெரியாமல் இருக்க இந்த பர்தா ஏற்பாடு. ஆனாலும் வருவது சினேகம் என்று ரகசிய தகவல், அவர்களுக்கு முன் கூட்டியே போய் விடுவதால் அவர் வந்ததும் ராஜ மரியாதையோடு சின்ன முதலாளியின் ஏ.சி. அறைக்கு அனுப்பி வைப்பார்களாம். அன்றைக்கு மட்டும் அவருக்குப் பிடித்த உணவு வகைகள் ஒரு ஸ்டார் ஓட்டலில் ஆர்டர் செய்யப்பட்டு மதியம் ஒரு காரில் வந்து இறங்குமாம். கூடவே ஒரு இளம் ஆட்டுக்குட்டி பண்ணையில் உள்ள சமையல்கார்களால் சமைக்கப்பட்டு ரெடி செய்யப்படுமாம். மட்டன் என்றால் சினேகத்திற்கு அவ்வளவு ப்ரியம். சூட்டிங் ஸ்பார்ட்டிலும் மட்டன் வந்தால் கூச்சமே இல்லாமல் ஒரு பிடி பிடித்து விடுவாராம். அதன் கொழுப்பு சக்திதான் தன் கவர்சசியான கன்னங்களுக்கும் கொளு கொளு முயல் குட்டிகளுக்கும் காரணம் என்று நெருக்கமானவர்களிடம் அந்த மாதிரி போதையான நேரத்தில் சொல்வாராம் சினேகம்.

Nithyasree Mahadevan, born in August 25, 1973 is an eminent Indian classical musician and playback singer for film songs in a number of Indian languages. She was born to Lalitha Sivakumar and Injikudi Sivakumar. Her mother Lalitha Sivakumar, who was Palghat Mani Iyer's daughter had learnt Carnatic music in Indian Classical Music from her mother-in-law, D. K. Pattammal, who was Nithyashree's first guru.
	Her family history is made up of 2 doyens of Classical music; she is the maternal Granddaughter of Mridangam Maestro, Palghat Mani Iyer and even more famously, the paternal Granddaughter of the legendary Carnatic vocal exponent, stalwart of music, Damal Krishnaswamy Pattammal (DK Pattamal), the lady who sang a patriotic song at midnight on India's Independence Day in 1947. Nithya has followed this family tradition and keeps her family's heritage intact to the core. Having been endowed with all many awards and accolades, like being an A Grade artiste of All India Radio, awards like Kalaimamani and Isai Peroli –
given only to the best of the best. She is one of the most humble people one could meet, possessing the gift of diplomacy, the grace of carrying herself with utmost decorum and being one of the most gifted 'stars' one would have the pleasure of meeting. Nithyashree's father would constantly show his support, as he being an accomplished mridangist, would be Nithyashree's accompanist whenever he can. Nithyashree's introduction to playback singing came when A.R. Rahman called her to Panchathan Recording Inn, in Chennai, for a voice test. The output from her visit became a huge hit, and was used in the movie "Jeans" starring Aishwarya Rai. After this, Nithyashree was in demand for playback singing for films and drama serials thereafter. Nithyashree's first maiden Carnatic performance was for the Youth Association For Classical Music on 10th August 1987, in which she was titled 'best concert of the series'. She is an A.I.R. Prize Winner (1990) and is an 'A' grade artist. She has been awarded the "Yuva Kala Bharathi" title by Bharath Kalachar in 1994, "Innisai Maamani" by Tamil Nadu Welfare Association, and various other prestigious awards such as "Kalaimamani", "Isai Paeroli" (2001). She has received "Best Concert Award" from The Music Academy during the music festivals several times and has also performed for the "Sangeeth Natak Academy" twice in their International Music Festivals in Bombay and Hyderabad. She has performed in all major sabhas all over India and has performed across the United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia and various other destinations throughout the world.
Her Dedication and Improvisation with Music:
She has presented a paper on the Life and Contribution of  Gopalakrishna Bharathi for the Music Deparment of PSG College, Coimbatore and made two thematic albums popularising a number of Gopalakrishna Bharathi 's compositions. Nithyasree has also given a Lecture Demonstration in Coimbatore for Manoranjitham on "Papanasam Sivan - A Legend" and likewise, released a couple of thematic albums popularising compositions of Papanasam Sivan. She received the "Best Promising Artiste" from "Mohanam" Music Club, and made a thematic album of compositions popularising the ‘Ragam Mohanam’. She has given numerous concerts consisting of only patriotic songs to commemorate the 50th year of Indian Independence, a few with her grandmother D. K. Pattammal while her grandmother was still performing. Similarly, Nithyashree released a few albums popularising patriotic songs.

என் மகன் பாடுவது இது முதல் முறையல்ல. கடந்த 4 ஆண்டுகளாக இன்னிசை நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் திரைஇசை பாடல்களை பாடி வருபவன்தான். இவர்கள் எந்த அளவுகோலை வைத்து குழந்தைகளை தேர்ந்தெடுக்கிறார்கள் என்பது புரியாத புதிரே. இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் தேர்வு செய்யப்படாத பல குழந்தைகள் கண்களில் கண்ணீருடன் மன அழுத்தத்தோடு வெளிவருவதை பார்த்தால் பெற்றவர்களும் மற்றவர்களும் மனமுடைந்து போவர். அதிலும் மன வேதனையில் வரும் குழந்தைகளையும் விஜய் டி.வி. கேமரா ஆபரேட்டர்கள் துரத்தித் துரத்திப் படம் பிடிப்பது எதற்கென்றே தெரியவில்லை.

Let's face it: Awards shows are popularity contests, media coverage is usually a matter of who has the best publicist, and the networks let the prettiest actors on a particular show dominate the ad campaigns. But when you get right down to it, some of the greatest working thespians today choose to hone their craft, not on the stage or silver screen, but on the boob tube.
Here they are every week, bringing class and complexity to the vast wasteland. Many of them are middle-aged, realistically normal looking, and enigmatic; others are stars on the rise, deserving of more screen time. Either way, we think it's time to cut through the hype. So we humbly submit our list of The 10 Greatest Actors on TV Right Now:

CCH Pounder ("The Shield") For six seasons, Michael Chiklis has been the recipient of well-deserved praise and awards; co-stars like Jay "Dutch" Karnes and Kenny "Lem" Johnson earned loyal fan followings, while guest stars from Glenn Close to Forest Whitaker have excelled in memorable (and too-brief) story arcs. But make no mistake: Without Pounder's Claudette Wyms, "The Shield" could never have been so compelling over such a long period. Harnessing equal amounts of sympathy and strength, the veteran actress has created the vital, solitary character on the show who refuses to indulge in the moral gray areas that make everyone around her so fascinating (hell, even Dutch once strangled a cat for kicks). With an iron fist and an unwavering resolve, Pounder has painted a staggeringly complex portrait of a middle-aged, twice-divorced, terminally-ill black woman navigating a man's world. The Emmys should be ashamed of themselves for giving her no more than a single nomination a few seasons ago.
Michael Emerson ("Lost")
As Benjamin Linus, the leader of The Others, much of the "Lost" tension has been on the shoulders of this veteran supporting star, an eerie actor who convincingly walks the line between being philanthropic and diabolical. For proof of Emerson's talents, look no further than the recent scene in which Linus apparently killed paraplegic John Locke (Terry O'Quinn), which mixes paranoia, jealousy and blind fury to create the potent mix that would expose a major plot point. Arguably, he's the best love-to-hate-him actor on TV right now.
James Morrison ("24")
Sure, Kiefer Sutherland gets his face on all the billboards and DVDs, but if there's one thing "24" fans have learned, it's that each season sinks or swims based on the character actors who bring Jack Bauer's dangerous world to life. It's no coincidence, then, that burly, tender Morrison has been heading up CTU during the same seasons when the action show has reached its creative (and ratings) peaks. Bringing life to Bill Buchanan, Morrison is a master at letting the weight of his difficult decisions wash across his face; from the death of Edgar Stiles (Louis Lombardi) to his repeated incarcerations of Jack, he has brought added weight to so many moments. When Buchanan has been allowed to leave the office, Morrison has proven an able-bodied action hero -- and his conflicted marriage to Karen Hayes (Jayne Atkinson) became an unexpected high-point recently. It's no coincidence that the recently-concluded season stumbled during the episodes when Buchanan was relieved of his command; let's just hope that the character's recent forced retirement doesn't stick, or Jack may encounter a threat far worse than the Chinese next season.
Nicholas Lea ("Kyle XY")
At first, we thought he was trying to kill the mysterious teen known as Kyle XY (Matt Dallas); now, he has become his unlikely protector. Lea's Tom Foss is a killer -- he's ruthless -- but ultimately he has a good soul. Veteran "X-Files" actor Lea has become a standout on the cult show, bringing far more substance to the role of his detective/bodyguard than one would ever expect from its teen-targeted storylines. For two seasons, the sci-fi show has been promoted with the tagline, "Who is Kyle XY?". But we defy you to watch a single episode without wondering about the identity of this compelling supporting actor.
Creed Bratton ("The Office")
While we all love John Krasinski, Steve Carell and Jenna Fischer, the biggest scene-stealer on NBC's hit comedy has turned out to be the demented-yet-lovable elder statesman of the Dunder-Mifflin family. He's creepy, apathetic, bizarre and quite possibly homeless. He was in an iron lung as a teenager, bathes in the office water cooler, and has a crush on Pam but seems to have forgotten who she is. Creed is also the most technologically-savvy of the group, contributing regularly to a blog that is really just a Word document set up by Ryan the temp. (In real life, Creed's blog is a must-read, offering such pithy observations as, "Winning is everything when it comes to Russian Roulette.") We don't know if the real Creed Bratton is anything like the TV Creed Bratton and, quite frankly, we're afraid to ask. But when all is said and done, Creed is a wholly original concoction simultaneously unlike anything we've ever seen, and familiar to anyone who's spent time in an office alongside a very strange co-worker. In short, Bratton might be the best actor on TV who isn't acting.
Julianne Nicholson ("Law & Order: Criminal Intent")
She has the face and figure of someone you would normally want to protect from the scumbags she deals with on a regular basis. But behind those hazel eyes is an intelligence and intensity that ranks her among the most interesting actors to ever inhabit Dick Wolf's universe. Nicholson and partner Chris Noth have taken the long-running "Criminal Intent" to a new level over the past few seasons, with his sizable stature balanced well by her disarming innocence. Following a vague season finale and a real-life pregnancy, fans are speculating that Nicholson might not return after her hiatus; while the "Law & Order" franchise has proven resilient, her loss might be a tough one to overcome.
Chandra Wilson ("Grey's Anatomy")
When Dr. Bailey speaks, the interns (and attendings, and even the chief of surgery at Seattle Grace Hospital) listen. The straight-talking, take-no-crap, moral rock of "Grey's Anatomy" cuts through the unending love-triangle melodramas of the popular ABC show, offering real words from a refreshingly relatable character. Although her character may be nicknamed "The Nazi" for her unemotional, stoic reactions to the childish antics of the surgery ward, the veteran actress does a superb job of balancing that persona with the warmth of a mother hen. Wilson consistently steals scenes, often with little more than a no-nonsense stare that would make any corner-cutting intern cough up their indiscretion. Now, with at least two main characters leaving the show, here's hoping the "Grey's" producers realize that this is one doctor who needs to be in.
Robert Knepper ("Prison Break")
He's known as T-Bag, but Robert Knepper is anything but watered down. He does the crazy psycho guy, and the sympathetic schlub, somehow simultaneously. While being reminiscent of Robert De Niro in "Cape Fear," Knepper has still made the character very much his own -- and revelations about his own backstory of sexual abuse have made him a remarkably sensitive character. In particular, T-Bag's flashback scenes with his girlfriend have a tenderness to them that make Knepper much more than a jail-yard bogeyman. We wouldn't mind seeing another 5-to-10 sentence with this guy.

Hugh Laurie ("House M.D.")
Most people would never want an ass like Dr. Gregory House as their physician; subsequently, most people would be dead. Hugh Laurie brings a credible intelligence to the character who always seems one step ahead of the medical community, and as a result has made his character's ill-advised bedside manner incredibly tolerable. It's no secret that Laurie is a great actor. He's already been nominated for an Emmy and won two Golden Globes, but it isn't overstating things to say that we may be witnessing the birth of the latest classic character from the "Columbo" and "Kojak" mold. Let's just hope that the show influences a generation of real-life doctors in the intelligence department, and not in their attitudes.
Jack Coleman ("Heroes")
First, he was the most despicable character on television. Then, within a matter of weeks, he became one of the most sympathetic. You can call him Mr. Bennet, you can call him HRG, or you can even call him Noah. But whatever Coleman's character is named, he's unlike anything we've ever seen on television. Originally, Coleman's mysterious company man was only supposed to be a minor character. But after producers saw the narrative gold mine of family, loyalty and fear that the veteran actor was tapping into, they understandably decided to keep him around. Come to think of it, the work of Coleman is even more amazing when you realize that he's one of the few actors on the hit show who doesn't have whiz-bang special effects to fall back on. In a world full of super-heroes, it's ironic that the man without powers is the strongest of them all.
